Rubicon Builders was founded on the core belief and importance of “building community.” The firm is grounded in its commitment to providing the appropriately suited construction process for each client and each project.

Our Experience

We bring the proven experience of true construction professionals combined with a fresh approach. We serve clients throughout New England in diverse markets, including multi-family housing & mixed-use, nonprofit & private institutional, academic, healthcare, senior living, corporate industrial, custom homes, and public. Our team provides hands-on, collaborative leadership – our clients, our employees, and our subcontractors are all partners in each successful project.

Jim DiGiorno, President and Founder of Rubicon Builders, leads the firm with his passion for guiding clients through their projects, helping them find the building solutions that make the most of each budget that support their organization’s vision and growth.

Jim’s focus—and the heart of Rubicon’s mission—is on building economically and socially community-enriching projects. Whether Jim is working with one of our healthcare, institutional or corporate clients, he assures the project Rubicon builds, is the project you need. From leading clients through their first experience with a complex capital project, to structuring a Design-Build team for clients on fast-track schedules, Jim exemplifies Rubicon’s construction management principles. An alumnus of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Jim’s near 40-year career in construction management includes almost fifteen years as a Project Executive with Consigli Construction Co., Inc., where he managed a broad portfolio of clients, as well as in his early years with Marshall Contractors Inc.

Our culture is rooted in our commitment to our team members, clients, and community. Our commitment to the community is core to Rubicon’s mission. We know that social responsibility, like good construction, is what builds communities. We’re proud to partner with several nonprofit organizations that support childcare, food security, veteran’s, physical fitness, and other community and socially enriching programs.

Safety

At Rubicon, the safety of our team members, clients, subcontractors, vendors, all project team members, and all in the community is our number one priority.

Site safety planning is developed and enforced with the most stringent of safety standards. All Rubicon team members have received a minimum of OSHA 10-hour (30 hours for field personnel) and first-aid and CPR certifications. Before every project begins, our safety experts and team members develop a Project Specific Safety Plan. Safety inspections are made consistently throughout the project, along with any necessary safety plan adjustments.

The majority of Rubicon’s clients are nonprofit organizations. Our core principle of Building Community along with our desire and skill set to guide clients through the Preconstruction and project planning phase make us an ideal partner for nonprofits, who often rely on volunteer boards and committees. Our spirit of collaboration is key to making these partnerships and projects successful.
