The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) moved their headquarters from downtown Boston, MA to the six-story City Square building in Charlestown, MA. AMC is a nonprofit organization created in 1876 to protect and preserve the outdoors and get more people active in the outdoors. The 17,000 sq. ft. renovation and office fit-out required an accelerated schedule to minimize the re-location downtime and impact on employees.
Project Highlights
- Formulated and maintained a fast-track accelerated schedule to minimize downtime and impact on employees.
- Constructed in compressed urban setting requiring comprehensive site logistics planning.
- Coordinated the re-location and re-use of fixtures from the former 100 year old building in Boston, MA,: mantles, stained glass, and a large chandelier.
