Arlington Eats is a nonprofit organization founded in 1991 with the mission of engaging the community to eliminate food insecurity and hunger in Arlington. Arlington Eats envisions an engaged and active community in which everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food and understands the causes and effects of food insecurity. The project provided Arlington Eats with a new centralized headquarters and features a retail market open to the public, offices & administrative space, storage, and a walk-in freezer and a walk-in refrigerator.
Project Highlights
- The newly created space will increase the Arlington residents served from 1,800 to 2,700 annually.
- Features a retail market open to the public.
- Walk-in freezer and walk-in refrigerator were built out and installed as key components of the project.
