The Plymouth Municipal Airport has been a town-owned, public-use airport since 1934. The Plymouth Airport is home to 170 aircrafts, ranging from one to ten seaters, as well as single and twin engine planes. The new 4,500 sq. ft. Administration Building was sponsored by MassDOT and features offices and common space for airport staff, interior and exterior space for the public, quiet rooms for pilots, and a restaurant. The project was part of the recent 400th anniversary celebration of the Town of Plymouth.
Project Highlights
- The structure consists of a combination of steel, glulam, and cross laminated timber (CLT).
- The new building features offices, conference rooms, and a restaurant.
- Extensive site work was required including demolition of the original administration building and significant new utility work.
